New ownership structure at Bodo Möller Chemie
Möller-Boxberger and Haug take charge of “cross-generational family enterprise”
Offenbach am Main, Germany – Bodo Möller Chemie has announced that Korinna Möller-Boxberger and Frank Haug have assumed sole ownership of the company.
The change in ownership structure followed the exit of Korinna’s sister Viola Möller on 7 Dec 2023, leaving Haug as the majority shareholder in Bodo Möller Chemie.
The polymers and chemicals distributor “thus remains a cross-generational family enterprise which is future-proofing its operations,” said its statement issued 21 Dec.
Bodo Möller Chemie "combines technological solutions" of market leaders, such as BASF, DuPont, Dow, Henkel and Huntsman, with many years of experience in process and application technology.
Under its new ownership, Bodo Möller Chemie said it aims to “focus heavily on sustainability, digitization, and technology in the future.”
“Both of us will continue to position my father’s company for future success and proactively develop solutions for the challenges on our markets through strong partnerships,” said Möller-Boxberger.
Bodo Möller Chemie said Haug had steered the company’s growth – from a turnover of €6 million and 12 employees in 2000 to a globally active company today with sales of €200 million and 340 employees.
After completing polymer chemistry studies and starting as a consultant for Bodo Möller Chemie in 1998, Haug became chairman of the board in 2000 and has also been a shareholder since 2005.
“Bodo Möller Chemie’s core expertise is translating chemical knowledge into construction,” Haug commented in the coimpany press release.
“Using this mechanical understanding, we’ll expand operations in the energy-storage, battery, mobility and aerospace sectors significantly,” he added.
Among its ambitious goals, the specialty chemicals supplier aims to triple its turnover to €600 million by 2030, while leveragng sustainability, digitisation, and innovative future technologies.
“We consistently invest in enhancing our technology expertise and further developing our adhesive competence centres in Poland, China, India, and the US,” noted Haug.
