Dutch tire & rubber machinery maker moves to larger, ‘high-tech’ facility in Chonburi
Chonburi, Thailand – Tire systems & machinery major VMI has relocated its southeast Asia service centre in Chonburi to a new ‘high-tech facility’.
Officially opened 30 Nov, the new unit is designed to serve the growing needs of VMI customers in the Asian region, the Dutch-based company said 5 Dec.
Spanning 1,500m2, the site includes a 'state-of-the-art' workshop and dedicated facilities for support staff, engineering teams and customer-training.
Services provided include tire-building-drum maintenance & overhaul, retrofitting and maintenance of existing machines, supported by commissioning and service engineers.
Customised for VMI’s specific needs, the Chonburi unit will help keep its machines in the field “up-to-date and running efficiently,” commented CEO Harm Voortman.
