Linglong assessing locations for new tire manufacturing plant

Hubei, China - Shandong Linglong Tire Co. is currently conducting “on-site inspections, analysis and comparison” to determine the location for the group’s third overseas production.

“Once the location is determined, we will inform you through an announcement,” the group announced in a 21 Nov 'investor exchange' event.

A third overseas facility is part of Linglong’s “5+3” growth strategy which envisages the construction of three overseas tire manufacturing factories, supported by five domestic Chinese plants.

During the event, Linglong said it intended to “rapidly increase” its overseas presence through the construction of overseas bases.

Linglong also highlighted its 'close cooperation' with major automotive brands such as BMW, Audi, Volkswagen, Ford, General Motors, and Stellantis.

In addition, the group said its overall Chinese market-share for new-energy cars stood at nearly 24%, making it the no 1 brand in 'new-energy supporting equipment'.
