Essentially Rubber: From airbags to tote bags

Toyoda Gosei, in collaboration with Japan’s Oakland Tourism Development, has created a tote bag using scrap materials such as airbag fabrics. Part of the local upcycling initiative "Re-S", the Ryusenji-no-Yu bag takes advantage of the water-repellent and stain-resistant characteristics of silicone elastomer-coated airbags.
