Cittadella, Italy - Producer of plastics and elastomer compounds Sirmax has been recognised for operating one of the best corporate culture for workers in Italy.
The Cittadella, Padua-based company produces compounds based on polyolefins, elastomers, circular polymers from post-consumer waste and biocompounds.
The 'Best Workplace for Blue Collar' award by the Great Place to Work Institute identifies companies that offer the best working conditions for employees.
The 2023 award was based on feedback from around 8,000 workers at 46 Italian companies, via anonymous questionnaires designed to analyse the working environment.
Scoring is then based on: average trust index (ATI) of operational personnel; difference between ATI of blue- and white-collar workers; and percentage of responses obtained from production workers.
Sirmax earned the sixth highest rating, its corporate culture being recognised for "trust, respect, ethics, inclusion, proximity to the environment and people being the most appreciated elements."
Sirmax Italy "has long been committed to promoting a corporate culture that combines business with respect for people and territories," said the company's 31 Oct announcement.
This result reflects "our commitment to creating an ever-better working environment," said Silvia Minafra, global HR director of Sirmax Group.
“Attention and care for our employees are fundamental, and that the company's growth necessarily passes through listening to and valuing people," added Minafra.
