Essentially Rubber: Mondo bags scrap tires

Japanese upcycling company Mondo Design has launched Seal, a Boston bag from waste tires and parachute materials. The product features end-of-life tire tubes as well as materials similar to the parachute fabric used by the military. The combination, according to the designer, brings “overwhelming lightness and strength”, making it possible to use the bag for travel, sports or outdoor purposes.
