Tire safety body gains access to latest monitoring technologies and opportunity to enhance data, research resources...'
London – UK-based tire monitoring specialist Translogik has committed to enhancing road safety and responsible tire management by supporting charity TyreSafe.
Translogik is a supplier of tire-inspection and data-capture tools, with a product portfolio including hand-held tools to measure and digitally capture tire data.
The company’s products can measure tread depth and pressure, and RFID tags, while communicating with tire pressure monitoring sensors (TPMS).
The inspection tools enable inventory management and tire services across all vehicle types, including passenger cars, trucks, and buses.
Under the recent agreement, Translogik will provide some of its latest equipment to support TyreSafe in a number of new research projects this year.
The deal gives us access to “some of the most up-to-date tire [monitoring] technology and the opportunity to enhance our data and research resources,” said Stuart Lovatt, chair of TyreSafe.
According to Translogik director Kevin Hennelly, failure to correctly monitor tire condition contributes to “a large percentage of road traffic accidents in the UK”.
In the vast majority of cases, Hennelly said, such accidents are preventable through appropriate routine maintenance checks of tires.
The support for Tyresafe, he added, will help increase the awareness of road safety.
