US acquisition to expand Bridgestone’s mobile hose & fittings service

Orange Park, Florida – Bridgestone HosePower, a subsidiary of Bridgestone Corp., has acquired Cline Hose & Hydraulics LCC, a family-owned business based in Greenville, South Carolina.

The acquisition will expand HosePower's hydraulic and industrial hose solutions and service business, comprising – 47 locations US-wide including five OEM sales centres  

Founded in 1948, Cline operates two retail locations, in Greenville and Augusta, Georgia, along with a fleet of service trucks, serving southeast states.

Cline has “a very similar business model" to our company's, Tom Henry, president and CEO, Bridgestone HosePower said in an 11 Jan announcement.

In particular, he said, the purchase will expand and speed up Bridgestone HosePower's capacity to service a larger customer-base.

The transaction, the details of which were not disclosed, closed on 29 Dec 2023.
