French distributor to supply mineral additives for rubber industry in "multiple Eastern European countries"
Paris – Safic-Alcan has expanded its distribution collaboration with mineral products manufacturer Imerys, particularly for the rubber market.
Effective January, Safic-Alcan has become the exclusive distribution partner for Imerys in "multiple eastern European countries", the French distributor said 1 Jan.
The product range covered includes talc, wollastonite, precipitated calcium carbonate, carbonates, mica, kaolin, diatomite and perlite, according to Safic-Alcan.
The materials, it noted, are used in applications such as high voltage cables, mineral solutions and reinforcement additives for all rubber applications.
Paris-based Safic-Alcan added that it will be “the sole distribution partner in eastern Europe” for the rubber industry in the region.
The new agreement builds on an existing partnership formed by the two companies in 2021 across selected EU countries.
Safic-Alcan’s distribution network and technical expertise in rubber 'aligns with Imerys' values,' said Marianna Voulgari, sales director, polymers for construction, industrial and consumer goods, Imerys.
