Lehmann&Voss inks flame retardant supply deal

Hamburg, Germany – German distributor Lehmann & Voss & Co. has signed a deal with Alpha Calcit to offer aluminium hydroxide (ATH)-based flame retardant additives to the rubber industry.

The deal will cover Alfrimal-branded retardants and will primarily focus on increasing sales in the DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) region, said Alpha Calcit n a statement.

The fillers are halogen-free and have a smoke-retardant effect without impairing the processing of materials in terms of their colour, surface or grip.

Depending on the surface of the material, the products can release their bonded crystal water at different rates.

This, according to Alpha Calcit, will provide “lasting support” for products in the cable, rubber and thermoplastics industries.
