Michelin appoints new Europe central, China leaders
David Jean replaces Matthew Ye, who will head up the tire group's Chinese operations
London – Group Michelin has named David Jean as its new president and CEO Europe Central, effective 1 March.
Jean replaces Matthew Ye, who is taking over Michelin’s Chinese operations in Shanghai, European Rubber Journal understands.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Jean joined Michelin in 2002 and has worked in several senior positions serving the European market.
Prior to his latest appointment, Jean served as VP South Europe – commercial director France Benelux, based at Clermont-Ferrand.
He will be based in Bucharest, where he previously worked as commercial director, central and southern Europe between 2013 and 2016.
