DKG honours scientific achievements in rubber & elastomers
The German Rubber Society (DKG) has honoured sponsors and personalities who have contributed to the development of knowledge and technology in the industry during the ongoing German rubber industry event DKT IRC 2021 in Nuremberg.
DKT IRC could ‘mark turning point for rubber industry’
Nuremberg, Germany - The return of the DKT IRC expo and conference event could play a significant role in helping the rubber industry to address the challenges that have emerged over the past two years, delegates to the 27-30 June event in Nuremberg heard.
Zeon Europe GmbH, the European subsidiary of Zeon Corp. is presenting its sustainability strategy “vision 2030” at the German Rubber Conference (DKT) currently underway in Nuremberg.
Troester is showcasing its latest advances in rubber extrusion technology, combined with intelligent line control and closed-loop systems at the DKT expo. Over a decade ago, Troester developed an automatically centring crosshead, which has hose manufacturers worldwide. The unit is designed to deliver enhanced end-product quality, materials efficiencies, low set-up times and the “minimum possible“ product tolerances.
Highlights on the LWB-Steinl stand at DKT include a novel concept for increasing the economic and technical efficiency of rubber injection moulding. The approach involves separating the injection moulding cycle into individual processes with the option of subsequent re-combination to form a new sequence tailored to specific requirements.
Engel is presenting equipment for moulding seals, O-rings and precision parts and highlighting technologies that can mitigate the impact of rising raw material and energy prices. Stand features include the production of O-rings from silicone (HTV), using a 102-cavity mould on a servo-hydraulic horizontal flexseal machine with screw injection unit for small shot volumes.
At DKT, Maplan is debuting an automated cell, based on a modular concept with a “one-for-all control” system for the injection moulding machine, supported by “ease of use” integrated automation components. The Austrian company’s “same-control concept” encompasses identical controllers/interfaces for the machine and automation components inside the production cell.
Nuremberg, Germany – Digitalisation, automation, article traceability, waste-free production and silicone processing will be among the key themes on the Desman stand at DKT.
As a special highlight, the German machinery maker will show the many advantages of digital machine acceptance live from its Fridingen technical centre.
Several times a day, Desma will broadcast live from the centre, with the transmissions accessible both at the trade fair and via the company’s XpertForum.
