German association honours scientific achievements in rubber & elastomers

Awards given during rubber industry event DKT currently underway
Nuremberg, Germany – The German Rubber Society (DKG) has honoured sponsors and personalities who have contributed to the development of knowledge and technology in the industry during the ongoing German rubber industry event DKT IRC 2021 in Nuremberg.
The DKG presented its highest award – the Carl Dietrich Harries Medal – to Manfred Klueppel in recognition of “scientific achievements of a particularly meritorious nature in the field of rubber and elastomers.”
The DKG awarded Prof Dr Norbert Vennemann the Erich Konrad Medal in recognition of his special merits and achievements in the field of rubber technology.
The society also awarded Dr Annette Lechtenböhmer with the DKG plaque, which is awarded to deserving personalities every three years.
"The DKG is proud to have people with such outstanding merits in the field in its ranks and is pleased to induct the honourees into the Rubber Hall of Fame today," said Andreas Limper, managing director.
