Midland, Michigan - Dow has named Brendy Lange, VP Dow Industrial Solutions, as the new president of its Performance Materials & Coatings (PM&C) business unit.
With transition beginning “immediately”, Lange succeeds Mauro Gregorio who will retire at the end of September with 40 years of service, said Dow 2 April.
During his career with Dow, Lange has held several leadership and strategy-development positions across the US company.
In his most recent role, he was responsible for Dow's Industrial Solutions and the growth of its global asset footprint.
Prior to Industrial Solutions, he held roles in corporate development, electronic materials business in Tokyo, and was “instrumental” in the DowDuPont joint integration management office during the merger transaction.
Lange’s appointment was based on his “proven ability to drive profitable growth”, according to Jim Fitterling, Dow chair and CEO.
Prior to joining Dow in 2010, Lange worked as a consultant at Deloitte Consulting in Chicago. He holds an MBA and a bachelor's degree in finance and accounting.
Dow's PM&C segment consists of two global businesses including coatings and performance monomers and consumer solutions.
The segment includes chlor-alkali & vinyl, 'industrial solutions' and polyurethanes products.
