Chief financial officer Christina Zamarro to lead unit on an interim basis
Akron, Ohio – Goodyear’s president of Europea, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Christopher Delaney has been on a ‘leave of absence from his position’ since 4 April, the US tire maker has announced.
Executive VP and chief financial officer Christina Zamarro will lead the EMEA business unit on an interim basis in addition to her duties, Goodyear said in a 7 April stock exchange filing.
Goodyear did not provide further information about Delaney’s departure.
He joined Goodyear in 2015 and served as president of Asia Pacific until he took over as the EMEA leader in 2017.
According to Goodyear, Delaney has more than 30 years of global leadership experience in Asia Pacific, North America, Europe and the Middle East.
Prior to joining Goodyear, he was the CEO for four years of Goodman Fielder Ltd, the largest public food company in Australia and New Zealand.
