Greene Tweed names Justine Franchina as chief operating officer

Appointment comes at ‘transformational period’ for company, as it aims to increase growth
Landsdale, Pennsylvania – Sealing solutions manufacturer Greene Tweed has appointed industry veteran Justine Franchina as chief operating officer (COO), the company announced 14 Feb.
Franchina brings “a strategic perspective and over two decades of experience in driving operational excellence,” with her to the company.
Her appointment comes at “a transformational period”, said Greene Tweed, adding that the company is currently pursuing “an ambitious business-wide initiative to significantly increase growth.”
Franchina’s experience in manufacturing operations, end-to-end supply chain, procurement, quality assurance, and engineering, will be ‘pivotal achieving growth vision’, said CEO Magen Buterbaugh.
Greene Tweed, the CEO went on to say, is currently aiming to further develop new products and solutions and expand into new markets and regions.
Previously, Franchina held the position of COO at Ketjen, an Albermarle subsidiary providing advanced catalyst solutions to refining, petrochemical, and speciality chemicals industries.
Prior to Ketjen, she led global manufacturing and quality functions for Chem-Trend, a Freudenberg company focused on speciality chemicals before becoming COO & EVP with global responsibility.
She began her career at DuPont and holds a PhD in polymer organic chemistry from Texas A&M University.
