Production line in Shanghai mainly produces ‘high-end thermal conductive series products’
Beijing – Elkem SA has recently started up a new silicones production-line for electronic adhesive at its manufacturing site in Shanghai, parent company ChemChina has announced.
The new line is focused mainly on the production of high-end thermal conductive series products, according to a recent ChemChina announcement.
With the addition, Elkem has increased production capacity for these materials to 1.5 kilotonnes per year while improving its electronic adhesive product portfolio.
The silicone materials are widely used in new energy battery packs, charging piles and electronic equipment manufacturing, with downstream demand growing in the segment.
The silicone “electronic glue” can ensure the long-term and stable operation of electronic components, according to ChemChina.
