Corbas, France – French rubber moulding machinery maker REP International has named company veteran Herve Revel as its chief executive officer, effective 1 Oct.
He succeeds Bruno Tabar, who has retired after nearly 40 years of service, including almost 30 years at the head of the REP group.
Revel has held various positions across the group over the past 25 years, since joining the company's R&D department in 1998.
As ‘aftersales director’ he became “well-known to customers” and later moved on to become the director of the industrial and technical division, noted REP.
In his previous position, Revel served as chief operating officer of the Corbas-based equipments and systems supplier.
The leadership change coincides with ongoing ‘digital transformation’ initiative at REP’s, which has included a switch to a new ERP system in 2021.
Furthermore, REP is developing a new generation of rubber injection presses, which are due to be unveiled at K2025 in Dusseldorf, Germany.
Revel's remit also encompasses advancing the implementation of sustainability initiatives across the French company's operations.
