Tire Tracker: Anyline launches ‘analog’ sidewall scanner

Data analysis and insights company Anyline has introduced a new scanner that captures all information on a tire-sidewall in a photo. Users can take a photo of the sidewall of any passenger car tire by smartphone. Anyline then captures analog information, such as DOT/TIN, size, make and model, and converts it into digital data. Claimed to “revolutionise" online tire retail, the scanner removes the possibility of human-error, and can be up to five times faster than recording information manually. The tool is also suitable for inventory-management and tire 'hotels', where it can help to optimise workflows.
