Pirelli has created a logo to identify tires that contain at least 50% sustainable materials. The materials include lignin from scraps of the pulp and paper industry; rice husk ash silica; recovered carbon black; “bio circular polymers” made from cooking oil-based monomers, natural rubber and bio-based resins. The new marking, depicting two arrows in a circle, was used for the first time on the P Zero E which contains more than 55% sustainable materials.
