Signs MoU with Intec Rubber Powder to establish a factory to process all types of tires
Cairo – Egypt’s ‘Arab organisation for industrialisation’ (AOI) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with German partners to build a tire recycling factory in the country.
The MoU between the organisation and Intec Rubber Powder AG and Recom Patent & License covers the set-up of a joint factory to recycle “all types of tires,” AOI said 12 Sept.
Under the partnership, the two German-based companies are to equip the future recycling facility with “advanced smart systems.”
The companies, according to AOI, will rely on local workers and train technicians in line with Industry 4.0 standards.
The statement did not provide further details on the size or location of the plant but said “all executive steps are being taken to establish the factory.”
Berlin-based Intec Rubber Powder is a system provider and supplier of environmental technologies for waste-to-energy and tire recycling projects.
After installation and commissioning of plant systems, the German company offer knowledge-transfer and training services as well as sales support for products generated in project plants.
Also based in Berlin, Recom P&L facilitates the acquisition, issuance, trade and administration of licenses and patents by domestic and overseas companies.
