Former TWS global boss Pini to play “pivotal role” for tire maker in region
Colombo – Sri Lankan off-road tire manufacturer GRI has named Luca Pini as the company's OEM lead in Europe with a mandate to expand its business in the region.
Pini brings nearly two decades of tire industry experience with him, having most recently worked for Trelleborg Wheel Systems (TWS), said GRI's 12 Sept announcement.
At TWS, he served as the global account manager – OEM channel, overseeing accounts including Agco, with brands such as Massey Ferguson, Fendt, Valtra.
As global OEM technical manager at TWS, Pini led the development of “advanced agriculture tires and wheels” in collaboration with Agco, added GRI.
Prior to this, Pini was the Trelleborg managing director for southeast Asia & APAC based in Singapore, stated the Sri Lankan tire maker.
GRI expects Pini’s industry knowledge and experience in working with OEMs to play "a pivotal role" in growing its OEM business in Europe, it statement concluded.
