Niko Haavisto brings finance, M&A experience in private equity, industrial companies
Nokia, Finland – Nokian Tyres plc has named Niko Haavisto as new chief financial officer to replace Teemu Kangas-Karki who left the company last month.
Reporting to president & CEO Jukka Moisio, Haavisto will start in the position 1 Oct, said Nokian in a 4 Sept statement.
Haavisto most recently served as the CFO of CapMan plc, a Helsinki-based private equity fund, Nokian added.
Jari Huuhtanen, VP, group business control, will continue in the interim role as SVP, finance and treasury, until the end of February 2024.
“Niko has strong strategy, financial and M&A background in private equity and industrial companies as CFO, CEO and board member,” said Moisio.
His expertise, the group's leader added, will be play a “key role” as Nokian expands production capacity in the coming years.
