Kottayam, India – India’s Rubber Board is aiming to publish a directory of rubber chemicals & machinery makers in the country, as a useful reference for stakeholders in the industry.
The directory will also include details of Indian synthetic rubber and reclaimed materials producers and dealers, the Rubber Board announced 31 Aug.
According to the industry body, currently, manufacturers have a limited list of chemical suppliers, on which they depend for their requirements.
“By bringing a new directory, the Rubber Board intends to provide a bird’s eye view of more chemical suppliers to the manufacturing industry sector,” it explained.
The move, it continued, will also help increase business and build brands for the listed companies.
Listings in the directory will be free, a soft copy of which will be available on the board’s website.
According to the Rubber Board, currently around 5,000 rubber-related manufacturing units are operational in India, producing more than 40,000 products.
