Sumitomo Rubber company Dunlop Home Products has released household rubber gloves made from natural rubber with carbon footprint displayed on the packaging. The "Gloves Born from Trees" series will be on sale as of October. According to SRI, the natural rubber, series emit less than 1.7 gCO 2 eq during raw material procurement compared to vinyl chloride gloves made from petroleum and salt. The group will also aim to lower CO2 emissions by reducing the use of plastics in packaging.
