Ahead of the 2023 Hankook London E-Prix, 29-30 July, British Formula E driver Jake Hughes of the NEOM McLaren team set a new indoor land speed record in a specially modified GEN3 car. The prototype, which generates up to 400 KW, clocked a new milestone of 218.71 km/h on a 346-metre indoor straight, Hankook reported. The record was set on a modified Hankook iON Race tire and witnessed by an official Guinness World Records adjudicator, said the Korean tire maker.
