Addresses issues linked to 'multiple brands which have sometimes fragmented group, confused customers...'
Manheim, Pennsylvania – Fenner Precision Polymers, part of Michelin, has realigned its structure to simplify operations, the specialist in reinforced-polymer technology has announced.
In a recent statement, Fenner said it had introduced three product families to cover its global brands: Industrial Motion, High-Tech Coated Fabrics, and Air & Fluid Handling.
Fenner Industrial Motion will include Fenner Drives, Fenner Precision, woven wire specialist Hoyt Wire Cloth, locking device maker MAV and wire belting supplier Lumsden Belting.
The High-Tech Coated Fabrics segment will include custom rubber-coated fabrics brand Fabri Cote, composite fabric lubricant Fenlon and rubber/silicone compounder Critical Thermal Composites.
Silicone and rubber hose manufacturer James Dawson falls under the Air & Fluid Handling segment, added the Fenner statement.
The rejig aims to “simplify interactions, reduce complexity, and build trust across different products and regions,” according to the company.
Fenner said the “large-scale” transformation would deliver “greater prioritisation and simplification” of work and help the group focus on customers.
"In our determination for growth, we’ve had numerous acquisitions and divestitures over the years,” explained Vincent Peter, managing director of Fenner Precision Polymers.
The M&As resulted in "multiple brands that sometimes fragment the group, while confusing some customers," according to Peter.
A more unified product-alignment, concluded the MD, “clarifies who we are and what we offer in the eyes of our customers, making it easier for them to work with us.”
