UK firm Recircle quadruples operational capacity with relocation to science park
Warrington, UK - Rubber recycling and industrial biotechnology firm Recircle has relocated to Daresbury Science Park - a science & technology hub in the north west of England.
The move to a larger, more modern facility, said Recircle, will enhance Recircle's work to transform end-of-life rubber waste into premium quality and high-performing compounds.
"Quadrupling its existing operational capacity, the 5,000sq. ft. facility empowers Recircle’s work across biotechnology, engineering, polymer science and rubber technology," added its 25 July statement.
Representing the first time Recircle’s suite of laboratories has been situated under one roof, the rubber lab combined "advanced material testing instruments and sensitive analytical equipment."
The biotech lab facilities include a cold room for temperature-sensitive experiments and a suite of equipment including an ultracentrifuge, shaker reactors, and bioreactors.
"Moving from two separate sites in Hertford, this new era underlines the extent of the business’s rapid growth," stated Recircle, which hopes the new facilities will help it to attract "best-in-class talent."
Recirclesaid it has already hired new staff directly into its Warrington HQ and is expecting to double its staff over the next 12 months.
The new workspace "brings together all our advanced biotech research and rubber recycling technology in one state-of-the-art facility," said Dr Barry Van Bergen, Recircle's CEO.
"We are continuing to grow, invest in the local area and build on our commitment to delivering desperately needed sustainability solutions for the world’s rubber,” concluded Van Bergen.
