Massimo Margaglione takes helm for a two-year presidency
Milan, Italy – The Italian plastics and rubber processing machinery association Amaplast has appointed Massimo Margaglione of Gefit spa as the new president for a two-year term.
Margaglione, who served as the Amaplast VP for the past four years, will be helped by vice president Gabriele Caccia of Syncro srl, for a second term, and Barbara Ulcelli of IMG srl in her first term.
The new Amaplast leader said he would continue the major initiatives undertaken by his predecessor Dario Previero.
During his tenor, Previero strengthened cooperation with the Association of Italian Manufacturers of Machinery and Equipment for Ceramics (Acimac) and the Italian Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Association (Ucima).
Maragaglione said he would “promote, support, and implement the spirit of collaboration that has taken form between Acimac, Ucima.”
The aim, he said, is to set up a federated body with the other associations in order to strengthen the industry’s position within Confindustria – the Italian employers' federation and national chamber of commerce.
The inter-association collaborations also include providing a new environmental service for the drafting of sustainability reports and consulting services to the industry.
