Tire Tracker – Bridgestone rolling out first TBR with Enliten

Bridgestone is releasing its first light truck and bus radial tire featuring the lighweighting technology Enliten, in September. The studless "Blizzak W989" will be released in 24 sizes and targets small trucks and buses, with “improved performance” on ice and wear life. Compared to conventional products, the tire enhances ice braking performance by 6% and wear life by 15%. Furthermore, the tire maker employed its BCMA (Bridgestone commonality modularity architecture) base technology for the tire, which simplifies the development and supply chains and reduces the environmental impact of the entire value chain.
