Tire Tracker – Michelin 45% tire wins automotive award

Michelin recently won the ‘automotive innovations award’ organsied by PwC and the Center of Automotive Management for its road-approved car tires containing 45% sustainable materials (related ERJ report). Unveiled in 2022, the 45% sustainable-materials tire incorporates technologies expected to feature in standard tires in 2025. The tire is part of Michelin’s broader sustainability ambition to produce all tires with 100% sustainable - renewable or recycled -materials by 2050, with an interim target of 40% on average by 2030.
