Chinese tire maker adjusting production operations at factory in Jiangsu
Rugao City, China – Double Coin is adjusting the production set-up at its tire manufacturing plant in the eastern Chinese town of Tugao City, Jiangsu Province.
The company has earmarked Yuan150 million (€18.7 million) for the project to convert annual production capacity for 300,000 truck tires to 80,000 off-road tires (OTRs).
These will include 42,000 units of 14.00R25 all-steel OTR tires and 38,000 units of 16.00R25 all-steel OTR tires per year, added Double Coin's environmental impact report.
The project, to be launched in August, will not require additional buildings or employees, according to the report – approved last month by local authorities.
The facility currently makes 188,100 tonnes (2.9 million pieces) of all-steel wire radial truck tires and 16,274 tonnes (74,000 pieces) of all-steel wire radial OTR tires per year.
