UK elastomer seals maker names new leader

Blackburn, UK – UK-based supplier of elastomeric sealing solutions Precision Polymer Engineering (PPE) has named Hynek Jakubicek as the company’s new general manager.

Jakubicek will oversee all aspects of the company’s operations, including strategic planning, business development, and organisational change, the company announced 11 July.

In his role as general manager, Jakubicek will support PPE in its new strategy, which is focused on major customers in high-growth markets, the statement added.

Jakubicek previously served as general manager of FTL Technology and brings with him “broad experience within different industries,” said PPE.

In particular, he has a strong focus on the development and commercialisation of advanced engineering solutions and has, in his previous roles, implemented strategies to drive efficiency.

PPE is part of Idex Sealing Solutions, a sealing products division of Idex Corp.

“Hynek has a strong understanding of the unique demands of the industries we serve,” said Neil Thompson, president of Idex Sealing Solutions.

“We believe his expertise and vision will be important in strengthening our position in the market,” he added.

Sealing manufacturers FTL Technology of the UK, Novotema of Italy and Sweden-based Roplan are also within the Idex Sealing Solutions portfolio.
