ESA leader encouraged by increased recognition of importance of sealing products
Haute Savoie, France - Reviewing a busy 2024, John Morton, chairman of the European Sealing Association (ESA) noted “PFAS was front and centre” for most of the year.
But, he added, while this topic “remains active, it has moved more to the background as legislators try to process the extensive industry feedback and determine their next steps.”
One positive outcome to date, noted Morton, has been increased recognition of the importance of sealing products and of the potential impact of a PFAS ban on end-users.
“This will be a long journey, which I am sure will occupy us again throughout 2025,” the ESA leader concluded.
