Michelin Group company targets higher efficiency, lower costs with operations under one roof
Lititz, Pennsylvania – Fenner Precision Polymers, a specialist in reinforced polymer technology, has acquired 41 acres of land in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, with the aim to consolidate its operations under one roof.
Fenner plans to develop the site with a 400,000-square-foot (37,000 sq.m) “world-class, environmentally responsible” manufacturing facility, said the Michelin Group company 20 June.
With the project, Fenner said it aimed to consolidate the majority of its manufacturing sites in Pennsylvania into one location.
The manufacturer expects that reducing the number of manufacturing plants will streamline operations and improve staff collaboration & sharing of skillsets.
The move is also expected to delivers annualised cost savings through operational efficiencies.
Fenner will conduct detailed building design and land development throughout 2023.
Construction will be completed in multiple phases over the next five years.
The first phase of construction is scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2024 with building occupancy expected early 2025.
Fenner currently operates manufacturing facilities in Lancaster and Manheim, Pennsylvania, as well as Wilmington, North Carolina, and Los Angeles, California.
