German machinery supplier now has complete department for handling, automation cell and brush construction
Fridingen, Germany – German rubber processing machinery supplier Kloeckner Desma Elastomertechnik has expanded its production offerings with the 'taking over' of a German brush machines manufacturer.
The company took over the business activities of Berger Bürstmaschinenbau, a Wyhl am Kaiserstuhl-based supplier of brush machines at the beginning of the year.
In a 15 June written statement to ERJ, Desma said it “integrated” Berger operations into “its own hall” in Fridingen, in western Germany.
The main location now has a “department for the complete handling, automation cell and brush construction… and everything that belongs to it,” it added.
The machinery maker said the move will help it expand the area of automation technology for its injection moulding machine programme.
As a result, Desma said it can now serve “all essential components for automation solutions from its own production.”
“We can now react even more independently and quickly, and as we also design and manufacture moulds and cold runners ourselves in addition to the machines,” said Desma in its statement to ERJ.
Desma also took over all the spare parts supply of Berger brush systems available on the market, according to the German machinery maker.
