Hamburg, Germany – Biesterfeld Performance Rubber is expanding its partnership with Chem-Trend, having acquired the distribution rights for the company’s release agents in Germany.
The agreement builds on ‘many years of partnership in several European countries’ and will see Biesterfeld marketing Chem-Trend and Mono-Coat product lines.
The Chem-Trend product line includes water- and solvent-based semi-permanent as well as conventional mould release agents, Biesterfeld said 13 June.
The range covers “all conceivable applications in the rubber processing industry”, added the company's statement.
Providing “improved release and rubber material flow”, the products are used in industries, including tire manufacturing, die casting and polyurethane processing.
The release agent, continued Biesterfeld, are particularly suitable for moulded parts with very complex geometry and structure.
Mono-Coat semi-permanent release agents offer “an alternative” to conventional release agents that have to be reapplied each time they cure.
The products provide “an excellent release effect for almost all moulding compounds used in the rubber industry,” Biesterfeld stated.
"We can now supply even more customers with innovative speciality release agents,” said Sascha Hennig, managing director of Biesterfeld Performance Rubber.
The new product line, he added, complements Biesterfeld’s existing portfolio of synthetic rubbers, fillers and additives in Germany.
For his part, Dr Christian Bruckmeier, European business director rubber at Chem-Trend Germany, said the partnership can help rubber manufacturers in optimising their processes.
