To provide service support for UH-60 Blackhawk hydraulic pumps, flight control actuation
Irvine, California – Parker Aerospace has signed a five-year contract with the US Army to provide overhaul and upgrade to the UH-60 Blackhawk hydraulic pump and flight control actuation.
The agreement includes provisions for “firm-fixed price (FFP) indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ)" for the aircraft said Parker in a 30 May announcement.
This type of contract offers fixed prices, and indefinite delivery for indefinite quantity, to enable an efficient procurement of goods or services for the government agency.
Under the sustainment agreement, Parker Aerospace will provide supply chain, engineering and field service support at Corpus Christi Army Depot in Texas under fixed rates.
Parker said the maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) deal will involve putting in place processes to provide “rapid and high-quality repairs.”
The contract will meet the “availability, reliability and maintainability needs of the aircraft, while balancing performance metrics.”
In addition, Parker expects its "quality components" would perform longer on-wing and thereby reduce the cost and complexity in fleet maintenance operations.
