Goodyear has claimed an industry first with the introduction of racing tires with real-time intelligence capability to record tire pressure and temperature. The tires will be on the 'Next Gen Chevrolet Camaro ZL1' during this month's Le Mans 24 Hours. The tires feature a “passive, non-battery, sensor” cured into the tire during production. Powered by Goodyear’s intelligent technology SightLine, the sensor provides real-time data, enabling engineers and drivers to better understand how the tires are performing and optimise vehicle performance.
