GRI appoints new directors for Europe, other regions

Colombo – Sri Lankan off-road tire maker GRI has appointed Giorgio Gramegna as director for Europe and Simon Michael as director for Middle East, Africa & South America.

The appointments are aimed at bringing the tire maker closer to customers in those regions, said GRI in a statement 17 May.

Giorgio Gramegna has over 20 years of experience in the tire industry and will lead GRI's efforts to grow business in Europe.

He has held various positions in the industry, including OEM key account Europe and global account leader at Yokohama Off-Highway Tires.

Prior to that, he worked for Trelleborg for over 10 years, said GRI.

“His experience and expertise will be invaluable to GRI as the company strengthens its presence and expands its footprint in Europe,” it added.

Simon Michael, with over 25 years of experience in the tire industry, has previously worked with Cooper Tire, Pirelli, and Zafco.
