Price hikes to be implemented in EMEA, Americas and Asia-Pacific regions
Dallas, Texas – Celanese Corp. is increasing the price of its Vamac-branded ethylene acrylic elastomers, effective 1 June.
The price increase of €2/kg will be implemented in Europe, Middle East and Africa, while prices will go up $2.2/kg in Asia-Pacific and the Americas, said Celanese 11 May.
Additionally, individual grades may be subject to higher increases, the US-based polymers & chemicals supplier said, without giving further details.
Vamac ethylene-acrylic elastomers is widely used for its high thermal and chemical resistance in automotive parts, cables, jacketing and sealing requiring enhanced long-term durability.
Celanese acquired the Vamac business last year as part of its $11-billion acquisition of the majority of DuPont's Mobility & Materials business unit.
