Tire Industry Project appoints new executive director

Larisa Kryachkova takes over the position from Anne-Cécile Rémont.
Geneva, Switzerland – Tire Industry Project (TIP) has appointed Larisa Kryachkova as executive director, succeeding Anne-Cécile Rémont.
Effective 1 May, the appointment sees Kryachkova leading the TIP from Geneva, said a statement by World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD).
Kryachkova holds a PhD in business administration with the focal topic of research in sustainability, according to the WBCSD announcement.
She also has experience in finance, change-management and sustainability roles at packaging supplier Ardagh Group and glass products maker Owens-Illinois.
“We recently announced an evolution of the project, and we are enthusiastic about Larisa’s contribution to delivering on our enhanced mission,” stated TIP’s executive committee.
Formed in 2005, the TIP a sustainability forum with a mission to “anticipate, understand, and address global environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues relevant to the tire industry and its value chain.”
Operating under the umbrella of the WBCSD, the voluntary CEO-led initiative comprises 10 tire companies, representing more than 60% of global tire manufacturing capacity.
Co-chaired by Bridgestone, Continental, Goodyear, and Michelin, the TIP also includes Hankook, Kumho, Pirelli, Sumitomo, Toyo Tires, and Yokohama.
