China tie-up to “support high-quality and sustainable developments for the tire and automotive parts industries…”
The Hague, The Netherlands – Innovation in the field of new mobility was the key driver behind Arlanxeo’s recent link-up with Chinese partners in the field of ‘liquid rubber,’ the company has explained.
On 24 March, Arlanxeo established a strategic partnership with Mesnac-owned Ecombine Advanced Materials Co. Ltd and EVE Rubber Institute in China.
Central to the tie-up is a liquid-phase mixing technology invented by EVE Rubber Institute and used by Ecombine to produce a 'green' rubber material.
Outlining the Saudi Aramco company's targets, an Arlanxeo spokeswoman said the partnership would support its development of materials for emerging vehicle technologies.
“We are committed to accelerating the innovation of new mobility applications together with partners across the value-chain,” she explained in written statement to ERJ.
More particularly, the Dutch-based synthetic rubber major aims to apply liquid-phase mixing in downstream applications involving BIIR, SSBR, EPDM and CR rubbers.
The link-up in China will, therefore, “support high-quality and sustainable developments for the tire and automotive parts industries,” stated Arlanxeo.
Ecombine, Arlanxeo further noted, “promotes that it has competitive advantages in improving a tire’s rolling resistance, wet braking, and wear resistance.”
