New Rhein Chemie production line to support demand for products in India, Asia
Jhagadia, India – Lanxess is building a new production line for tire & rubber release agents at its facility in Jhadadia, in the northeastern Indian state of Gujarat.
The production line will feature “state-of-the-art” technology to enable the production of tire release agents more efficiently, Lanxess announced 14 March.
Set for operation in 2024, the unit – operated by the Rhein Chemie business unit – will cater to the Indian subcontinent and Asian markets.
The release agents are tailored to prevent adhesion of mechanically processed uncured rubber compounds in a “safe and reliable” process with low scrap rates.
The product is claimed to be environmentally friendly, it being “strictly water-based, solvent-free and free of volatile organic compounds (VOCs).”
Lanxess also manufactures these release agents at a production facility in Argentina.
