Trelleborg names board member Johan Malmquist as new chairman

Trelleborg, Sweden – Trelleborg AB has nominated board member Johan Malmquist as its new chairman of the board, to replace Hans Biörck who has declined re-election.

The appointment will follow a vote at Trelleborg’s annual general meeting scheduled for 27 April, the Swedish group announced 22 March.

Malmquist has been a Trelleborg board member since 2016 and currently serves as the chairman of the board of Arjo AB, a global supplier of medical devices & medical solutions.

He is also a board member of Swedish entities Elekta AB, Mölnlycke Health Care AB, Stena Adactum AB and the Chalmers University of Technology Foundation.

Malmquist is stepping down from his position as a board member at Dunker Foundations, which holds the majority of voting rights in Trelleborg AB.
