Celanese raising prices for thermoplastic elastomers

Price increase on Hytrel-branded TPCs to kick in from mid-March
Dallas, Texas – Celanese Corp. is increasing prices for its copolyester-based thermoplastics elastomers (TPCs), effective 15 March.
The speciality materials and chemicals company will raise the price of formerly DuPont's Hytrel-branded TPC €0.45/kg in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region.
In Asia Pacific and Americas, the price hike will be $0.5/kg, Dallas-headquartered Celanese added in a 28 Feb announcement.
"Individual grades may be subject to higher increases than specified herein," the company statement pointed out.
Hytrel elastomers are used in a wide range of applications, including automotive boots & bellows, sportswear and athletic goods, consumer electronics and medical devices.
