Tire maker to add 125 team members at factory in Dayton, Tennessee ahead of 2024 full ramp-up
Dayton, Tennessee – Nokian Tyres has launched a recruitment programme in the US as part of its push to double production in North American.
The Finnish tire maker aims to bring in 125 new employees at its factory in Dayton, Tennessee this year, with most of the hiring to take place in March through May.
The majority of the new roles will be in the factory’s production department, according to a 23 Feb statement from Nokian.
The tire maker said that it is also seeking to fill positions in areas such as quality, maintenance, logistics and IT.
“We offer a strong workplace culture and excellent career advancement opportunities at a safe, highly advanced facility,” said senior HR manager Blake Markham.
Nokian announced in January that it aimed to double annual production at the Dayton tire factory to 4 million units by 2024.
At full ramp-up, the company expects to employ 475 employees.
The company is also building a 600,000-tire warehouse on the factory’s campus with plans to bring the facility online by mid-2024.
Nokian opened its Dayton factory in late 2019 and began producing tires there for commercial sale in early 2020.
