MRO centre in Blagnac to support aerospace industry as air traffic picks up
Blagnac, France – Automotive and aerospace parts supplier Hutchinson has opened an after-sale service unit in Blagnac to further support customers, particularly in the defence and aerospace industries.
The launch of the new center is in response to the growth in spares and MRO (maintenance, repair, overhaul) activities, and allows customers to be supported more effectively, said Hutchinson in a 29 Sept statement.
The site also offers proximity with the aerospace industry players, providing them with “optimum support” as air traffic takes off again, the French group added.
The Blagnac operation features an engineering and design unit, sales office and a repair workshop/spare part distribution centre, which according to Hutchinson is approved by airworthiness authorities such as EASA, the FAA or the CAAC.
The site, to be operated by Hutchinson Aerospace Services, will provide after-sales service activities not only for products designed and manufactured by the French group but also for “a host of other products,” said Norbert Langlois, EVP Hutchinson Aerospace Services.
The site is part of Hutchinson’s global network of service centres which also has locations in the US, China and Southeast Asia.
