Zeon raising prices for thermoplastic elastomer product

Price rise “necessary to ensure supply security, service standards”
Tokyo – Zeon Crop. is raising global prices for thermoplastic elastomer product SIS Quintac, a polystyrene-polyisoprene block used as a base polymer for adhesives or as the main material for elastic films.
Prices for the product will increase by $700/tonne (€640/tonne), effective 1 April, the Japanese chemicals group announced 14 March.
The move, Zeon said, is “necessary to ensure supply security, service standards,” without giving further information.
