Among other products, German distributor granted rights to market Celanese Sofprene and Laprene elastomers
Hamburg, Germany - Biesterfeld and Celanese have expanded their partnership to cover distribution rights of a number of Celanese products, including its elastomers.
Effective as of January, Biesterfeld has been granted distribution rights for the TPS SBS polymer Sofprene and TPS SEBS Laprene, said the German distributed 13 Jan.
The polymers combine the rubber-like properties of an elastomer with the outstanding processing properties of thermoplastics.
The distributor already holds distribution rights for Celanese's Santoprene TPV and Hytrel TPC product families.
The addition, it said, will enable the German group to offer its customers “an even broader range of thermoplastic elastomers in future.”
The new agreement between the two also includes distribution rights for two LCP product families Vectra and Zenite, polymers are highly crystalline, inherently flame-retardant, thermotropic thermoplastics.
